Lost Dog: Male Pomeranian From Middlefield – Durham-Middlefield, CT Patch
On July 24, our 7-year-old male Pomeranian dog Gus disappeared from our property on Cherry Hill Road, Middlefield.
He is a small dog, weighing between 10-14 lbs. and has a redish coat. His fur is between long and shaved, but it does grow in fast.
When last seen he was wearing a red harness and unfortunately that harness had no tags.
IMPORTANT: GUS CAN NOT WEAR a COLAR BECAUSE HE HAS a PROBLEM WITH HIS LARYNX. HE CAN ONLY TOLERATE a HARNESS.
IF HE HAS TOO MUCH PRESSURE ON HIS THROAT FROM a COLLAR OR EVEN IF HE GETS TOO EXCITED THIS CAN CAUSE a CAUGHING FIT OR EVEN a TRACHEAL COLLAPSE WHICH CAN BE FATAL.
GUS may still be wandering, which is common for his breed, and we continue to search the area, or He may be with another family.
PLEASE: If you have seen GUS or if you have him, contact us immediately — or bring him to a local vet, animal control office or shelter with our contact information. There won’t be any questions and we will be forever greatful.
Thank you, Reg and Kate Thibodeau (860) 349-3711 – (860) 280-4754 – jthibodeai21@comcast.net.
